How to Install
Accept the Invite Email
After requesting access, you'll receive an email from [email protected]. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes. Open the email on your Android device.
Tap "Download the latest build"
Open the email on your Android device and tap the download link. This takes you to Firebase's tester page in your browser.
Install Firebase App Tester (one-time)
If prompted, install the Firebase App Tester app from the page. This is a small helper app from Google that manages beta builds.
Allow Unknown Sources (if prompted)
Android may ask you to allow installation from this source. Go to Settings → Apps → your browser → Install Unknown Apps → Allow. This is safe and only applies to this install session.
Install Expenses
Return to the Firebase tester page and tap "Download". The APK will download and install like a normal app.
Open and Set Up
Open Expenses and complete the quick onboarding (currency, first account, income). You're ready to go.
Screenshots are not included in this guide because the process uses your real email and phone — steps are illustrated as text for clarity.
Getting Updates
When a new version is available, you'll get an email notification. Tap the link in the email and follow the same download → install steps. Your data is preserved across updates.
